Remember everything below is OPTIONAL and only to be used to support your practice and study. No need to do any of it if it is not supportive.
Undrowned by Alexis Pauline Gumbis - Read Chapters 3, 4 and 5. Remember, Practice and Collaborate. Or as Alexis suggests jump around a little! in that area.
Consider your own dorsal spine and its connection to your feet, your root. How much does it feel like a place which initiates and sustains direction and intention and balance as it (potentially) carves through the waves of life?
What are your core practices? Your essential places of refuge and inspiration. Are these changing currently with the shifts in your life responsibilities, age, impact of the bigger oceans around you? Do they serve you? Do they serve other?
The beauty of sea mammals moving in unison, flowing together as a group and turning, diving, as if in tune with a collective song, is awe inspiring and touches us at a primal powerful level. Where does that same sense of delight in moving in consort or within sangha occur in your life, within your being and in the communities you belong to?
